Ingredients
15g butter
1/2 cup dry short-grain rice
2 cups milk
1 cup cream
1/4 cup caster sugar
pinch salt
1 tsp vanilla essence
Preparation
Put butter and rice in pan, coat the rice lightly on a gentle heat. Once melted, add milk, cream, caster sugar and pinch salt. Bring to a gentle boil, then simmer adding vanilla. Pour mixture into a prepared bain marie dish and cook for 1 and a half hours at 160 degrees Celsius.
