Ingredients

Equal parts balsamic vinegar and olive oil, enough marinade to cover steak

1 lb. flank steak

2 cloves minced garlic

2 cups baby arugula

2 cups assorted cherry tomatoes

1 loaf of rustic bread, sliced

Some good olive oil for bread

Parmigiano-reggiano cheese, shaved

Preparation

  1. Mix garlic with balsamic and olive oil. Cover steak and marinade at least 15 minutes.
  2. Heat grill for steak and broiler for bread. 3)Brush bread with good olive oil and halve cherry tomatoes.
  3. Pat off excess marinade on the meat with a paper towel. Salt and pepper the meat. Grill the steak medium rare.
  4. Toast the bread. Place 2 slices on each plate. Top with steak, then arugula. Put cheese on top and scatter tomatoes. Drizzle oil over top, salt and pepper.
