Ingredients

1/3 C Mayonnaise

2 t Mustard

1 T Butter, Melted

Salt, To Taste

Black Pepper, To Taste

1/2 t Old Bay Seasoning

1/2 t Dry Mustard

1 Large Egg

1 lb Lump Crab Meat

3 T + 1/3 C Plain Breadcrumbs, Divided

1 T Olive Oil

Preparation

  1. Whisk together first 8 ingredients, until well blended.
  2. Gently fold in crab meat + 3 T bread crumbs, trying not to break up crab meat.
  3. Make crab cakes, using about 1/8 mixture for each one.
  4. Spread remaining bread crumbs on a plate, roll each cake in crumbs.
  5. Heat oil in large skillet. Cook cakes until golden brown on each side, turning over only once, about 10 minutes.
