Ingredients
WET INGREDIENTS
2-3 very ripe bananas
½ cup (1 stick) softened butter or margarine
2 eggs
¾ cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
DRY INGREDIENTS
1 ¾ cups flour
¾ teaspoon baking soda
1 ¼ teaspoon cream of tartar
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine dry ingredients in a bowl and set aside. In a blender, combine wet ingredients, blend on puree until mixture is well blended. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix well. Pour mixture into a well greased loaf pan. Bake for 40-45 minutes-time is approximate and may vary with size of pan or type of oven. Check with toothpick or knife in center of loaf-if it comes out clean, bread is done.
