Ingredients

2 medium ripe bananas

½ cup butter

2 cups sifted flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

½ cup sugar

½ cup buttermilk

2 eggs

Preparation

Create a flour mixture by sifting flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt 3 times. Cream butter and sugar; add eggs one at a time. Add mashed bananas to buttermilk alternately with flour mixture. When well blended, pour into a greased 9 inch loaf pan and bake at 350° for approximately 50 minutes or until brown.
