Ingredients

2 cups sifted flour

1 tsp. baking soda

1 tsp salt

1/2 cup shortening

1 cup sugar

2 eggs

1 cup mashed ripe bananas (2 to 3)

1 tbsp vinegar

1/2 cup milk

Preparation

Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt. Cream shortening, blend in sugar, add eggs one at a time, and beat until fluffy. Add flour mixture alternately with bananas and liquid, beating well after each addition. Turn into greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 for 60 to 70 minutes. Cool several hours before slicing.
