Ingredients
1/2 cup white sugar
1-cup brown sugar
2 sticks (1 cup) butter
1 egg
1-teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup mashed bananas
1/2 - 3/4 cup buttermilk
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1-cup oats
1 cup chopped walnuts
1-cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation
Preheat oven 300F.
· Sift flour, baking soda and salt. Mix in oats.
· Cream butter and sugars. Mix well, scrape down sides. Add egg, buttermilk and vanilla. Beat till smooth.
· Gradually add in flour mixture. DO NOT OVERMIX. Stir in nuts and chocolate chips.
· Drop rounded tablespoonful on an ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Bake 25-27 minutes. Transfer immediately.
