Ingredients
4 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
4 medium ripe but firm bananas
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup banana liqueur
1/2 cup light rum
4 scoops vanilla ice cream
Preparation
In a chaffing dish or electric fry pan, melt butter, add brown sugar and stir until mixture is smooth. Add the bananas and tilting the pan, baste them with the syrup for 3 to 4 minutes. Sprinkle lemon juice and dust with cinnamon.
Add banana liquer and rum. Carefully ignite with a match and slide pan back and forth over heat until flames die.
Place two banana halves in a serving dish. Place a scoop of ice cream on them and spoon some of the sauce over the top. Serve at once
