Ingredients
2 15 oz cans pork & beans
1 15 oz can kidney beans
1 15 oz can black beans
1 green bell pepper, diced
1 red bell pepper, diced
1 jalapeno pepper, seeds removed and diced
1 small red onion, diced
2 cups brown sugar
2 lbs grilled beef brisket, sliced / cut into bite-sized pieces
1 18 oz jar barbecue sauce
Preparation
Season and grill brisket until done. Let meat stand for 15-20 minutes before slicing. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Drain beans and mix with all other ingredients in large aluminum foil pan. Support the pan with a cookie sheet and cook at 350 degrees for two hours; stirring occasionally. Let stand 30 minutes before serving. Of course, letting the flavor develop overnight won’t hurt either! Just reheat for 30 minutes before serving.
