Ingredients

2 tsp. oil

1 onion (minced)

6 oz. tomato puree

2 16 oz. cans tomatoes

2/3 cup white vinegar

1/4 cup orange juice

1/4 cup packed brown sugar

1 tbsp. paprika

1 tbsp. chili

2 tsp. salt

2 tsp. pepper

Preparation

  1. Saute onion in oil until translucent.
  2. Add puree, tomatoes, vinegar, OJ, brown sugar, paprika, chili, salt, and pepper and bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce to lowest heat and simmer 1 hour.
  4. If desired, puree sauce in batches.
