Ingredients:

2-3 lbs Pork Roast (preferably loin) cut to 1 1/2" X 1" X 3"

Marinade:

1/2 teaspoon 5 spice powder

1/2 teaspoon Salt

1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce

1 Tablespoon Mirin (Rice Cooking Wine)

1/4 Tablespoon Fresh Ginger Root, grated

1 clove Garlic

1 Tablespoon Ketchup

3 Tablespoon Hoisin Sauce

Dash of Red Food Coloring

Preparation

Preparation: Serves 4 Mix marinade ingredients together and combine well. Marinate pork roast for 2-3 hours. Place marinated pork on rack over a baking pan. Lining the pan with foil will make the pan easier to clean. Roast at 450 degrees F. for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to to 350 degrees F and roast for 45 minutes or until done. Brush on sauce during roasting.

Cool and slice into 1/8" thick pieces. Serve with hot Chinese style mustard, ketchup and toasted sesame seeds.
