Ingredients

1 3-5 lb. Beef rump or sirloin tip roast

115- or 16-oz. Can seasoned tomato sauce

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 envelope dry onion soup

1/2 cup water

Preparation

Place roasting crock pot or slow-cooker. Add tomato sauce, sugar, onion, and water. Stir lightly. Set on low. Stir again after roast has been cooking for about 2 hours. Turn meat over after about 4-6 hours.

Cook about 12 hours, checking occasionally after 8-10 hours for desired doneness. When roast reaches desired tenderness, pull apart with fork into shreds. Serve on buns.
