Ingredients

1 cup self raising flour

120g melted butter

180g caster sugar

½ cup milk

2 eggs

Preparation

Preheat oven to 180˚C Grease & line a 24cm cake tin

-Add eggs to butter one at a time, beating after each addition -Beat butter & eggs till light -Fold in the flour, then milk -Pour into cake tin -Bake at 180˚C for 30min

*Some suggestions for adapting this recipe: a vanilla bean or 1 tsp vanilla essence, 1 tbsp cocoa powder, lemon rind and juice.

  • Decorate with cream & fresh berries or ice it and decorate with colour.
