Ingredients
1 1/3 cup flour (wheat or rice)
1 tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
1 tbsp melted butter or vegetable oil
2 beaten egg yolks
¾ cup flat beer
Preparation
Combine all ingredients. Allow batter to rest covered and refrigerated 3 ½ hours. Just before using, add 2 stiffly beaten egg whites.
(Instead of beer, can use ½ cup water, 1 pkg yeast, 1-2 tbsp sugar, and 1/3 cup flour.)
