Ingredients

1 lb lean flank steak, trimmed

1/4 cup sherry

1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce

1/4 cup honey

2 tbsp white vinegar

1 tbsp minced fresh ginger

1 tsp dark sesame oil

2 garlic cloves, crushed

Preparation

  1. Combine first 8 ingredients in a large zip lock bag; seal. Marinate in refrigerate 8 hours, turning bag occasionally.
  2. Prepare grill or broiler.
  3. Remove steak from bag, reserving marinade. Place marinade in small saucepan. Bring to a boil, cook 1 minute.
  4. Place steak on grill rack or broiler pan coated with cooking spray; cook 8 minutes on each side or until desired degree of doneness, basting frequently with reserved marinade. Cut steak diagonally across grain into thin slices.
