Ingredients

4 cups ketchup

1 bottle of beer

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter

1/2 cup cider vinegar

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1/2 cup amber agave nectar

1/2 cup honey

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon black pepper

1 bay leaf

2 teaspoons salt

2 teaspoons onion powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon (or to taste) cayenne pepper

diced fresh peppers (Thai, Cayanne, or whatever you have on hand) - to taste. 6 small Thai chilis adds a pleasing heat

Preparation

Mix ingredients together in a large sauce pan or kettle. Simmer for about 45 minutes, or until desired thickness is achieved.
