Ingredients
1 lb bacon
2 cans water chestnuts
1 c Ketchup
1 c brown sugar
1 tbsp worchestershire sauce
tooth picks
Preparation
preheat oven to 350 degrees Cut bacon strips into thirds Wrap each water chestnut with a piece of bacon and secure with toothpick. Place bacon water chestnut on cooling rack cookie sheet. bake for 45 min - 1 hour, depending on thinckness of bacon. The bacon should be browened. While the bacon cooks, put the ketchup, brown sugar and worchestershire in a sauce pot and stiring constantly cook over low heat till sugar is disolved. When the bacon/water chestnuts are done add them to the sauce. server in a wide dish so that the chestnuts are covered in sauce put the toothpicks stick out of the sauce. Can be made 2-3 days ahead, refrigerate and then microwave on 1/2 power for 3-5 min till they are re-heated.
