Ingredients
1 large round steak
1 ½ C. Bread Crumbs
2/3 C. Parmesan Cheese
1 Medium Onion, chopped
6 oz. can tomato paste
2 C. Hot Water
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
½ tsp marjoram
Preparation
- Tenderize round steak with knife until about 3/8 " thick. Cut into approximately 3x5" pieces.
- Combine Bread Crumbs and parmesan cheese in bag.
- Dip meat pieces in egg and shake in bag.
- Fry until golden brown and set in large baking dish.
- In same skillet brown onion. Add tomato paste, water, sugar, salt, pepper and marjoram.
- Boil 3 minutes.
- Pour over meat in baking dish.
- Bake 45 minute covered @ 350º
- Bake 15 more minutes uncovered
- Just before serving add one slice cheddar cheese per piece of meat.
- Serve with sauce over spaghetti noodles.
