Ingredients

1 large round steak

1 ½ C. Bread Crumbs

2/3 C. Parmesan Cheese

1 Medium Onion, chopped

6 oz. can tomato paste

2 C. Hot Water

1 tsp sugar

1 tsp salt

½ tsp pepper

½ tsp marjoram

Preparation

  1. Tenderize round steak with knife until about 3/8 " thick. Cut into approximately 3x5" pieces.
  2. Combine Bread Crumbs and parmesan cheese in bag.
  3. Dip meat pieces in egg and shake in bag.
  4. Fry until golden brown and set in large baking dish.
  5. In same skillet brown onion. Add tomato paste, water, sugar, salt, pepper and marjoram.
  6. Boil 3 minutes.
  7. Pour over meat in baking dish.
  8. Bake 45 minute covered @ 350º
  9. Bake 15 more minutes uncovered
  10. Just before serving add one slice cheddar cheese per piece of meat.
  11. Serve with sauce over spaghetti noodles.
