Ingredients

1.5 lbs round steaks thinly sliced

Unsalted butter

2 onions

3/4 lb sliced mushrooms

tomato paste

1 t basil

1 T cornstarch

1 C plain yogurt

1/3 cup sherry

Beef broth

2 cloves garlic

egg noodles

Preparation

Trim meat & slice. melt 2 T butter & saute onions. Add beef and brown for 5 mins. Remove beef. Add more butter to pan and saute mushrooms with garlic. Stir in tomato paste, some beef broth and basil. Return meat to pan and simmer briefly. Separate pan, mix cornstarch with 1 T yogurt, then add remaining yogurt and cook over med heat until thickened. Add to meat mixture and simmer. Thin with sherry and/or more broth. serve over noodles.
