Ingredients

6 fish fillets

oil for frying

Marinade for Fish

salt & pepper

3 Tablespoon Lemon juice

half tsp peri-peri spice

Batter Mixture

1 cup self raising flour

1 cup beer

1 egg

pinch of salt

Preparation

  1. Marinate fish for 30 minutes.
  2. Make the Batter Mix flour , salt & beer together. Add egg yolk to mixture and beat well. whip egg white until stiff , fold into the batter.
  3. Heat oil in pan (medium heat)
  4. Dip fish in batter & fry until done. Leftover batter can be used to make onion rings.(cut onions round, dip in batter & fry until crisp.)

NB: Vinegar/lemon can be sprinkled on fish before eating.
