Ingredients
2 cups UNsalted butter (1 lb. or 454 grams)
8 cups* Icing Sugar (aka, powdered sugar; 1 Kilo)
2/3 cup heavy cream
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla
You might need another 1/3 to 1/2 cup; judge for yourself near the end.
Preparation
Prepare your ingredients and have them all at room temperature.
Cream the butter until it is very fluffy. This can take up to 5 minutes, depending on how old your mixer is; if you have a good, new one, it might take a little as one minute.
Begin adding the sugar gradually.
Once you’ve added half, stop and add all the other ingredients. Blend well.
Add the remainder of the icing sugar.
Ice your already cooled cake and enjoy!
