Ingredients

1 lb. washed and dried, mixed mesclun greens

1 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, rinsed and sliced

1 cup slivered almonds

1/2 cup Maytag Blue Cheese, crumbled

For the viniagrette:

3 T olive oil

6T balsamic vinegar

1-2T fresh maple syrup

1t garlic powder

1/2 kosher salt

Preparation

Rinse and dry greens and place in a bowl.

In a flat pan toast slivered almonds until they are slightly browned, then add them to the greens

Crumble the blue cheese into the bowl with greens and almonds and add the sliced strawberries.

In a separate jar combine and blend the oil, vinegar, maple syrup, garlic powder and salt.

Pour emulsion over the salad Toss thoroughly and serve.

Serve with fresh toasted baguette.
