Ingredients
2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
1 cup water
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
2 eggs
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
Preparation
Combine first group of ingredients in large bowl.
Bring second group of ingredients to a boil in a saucepan.
Combine third group of ingredients in small bowl.
Combine hot oil and water mixture with dry ingredients. Then add egg mixture and stir just until uniform. (Batter will be thin.)
Bake in 350 degree oven for 20 minutes in greased and floured pans.
