Ingredients

1½ cups melted butter or margarine

3 cups sugar

1 tbs. vanilla extract

5 eggs

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup cocoa

1 tsp. baking powder

1 tsp. salt

1 package mint patties (can be replaced by chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, etc.)

Preparation

Heat oven to 350°. Grease 13 x 9 x 2. In large bowl stir together butter, sugar, and vanilla. Add eggs; stir until well blended. Stir in flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Reserve 2 cups batter, arrange patties on batter, cover with reserve batter. Bake 50 minutes or until brownies pull away from the side.
