Ingredients
1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine
3/4 cup granulated light brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 large egg
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups stone-ground whole wheat flour
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup white chocolate chips
Preparation
Preheat oven to 375.
Put butter or margarine in a large microwave-safe mixing bowl and heat until partially melted (20-30 seconds on high). Add sugars and mix until smooth. Add vanilla, egg and baking soda. Stir in flour until blended. Mix in chips.
Using small ice cream scoop, drop mixture 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 10 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Remove cookies to wire racks and cool.
