Ingredients
Pork shoulder or country style ribs, 4 to 5 pounds
Salt & pepper
Cooking oil for searing the meat (optional)
6 cloves of garlic
2 tablespoons of soy sauce
1 Chipotle chile packed in adobo sauce
2 cups of water
Preparation
- Sprinkle salt and pepper on both sides of the meat pieces
- (Sear meat in a hot oiled pan on both sides first, if desired) Place meat in slow cooker.
- Add garlic, soy sauce, chipotle, and water to slower cooker. Cover and cook until meat is very tender and falling apart (on low setting for about 6 hours, or on high setting for about 3 hours).
- Using forks or spoons, pull meat from bones and shred into pieces.
