Ingredients

1/2 lb margarine (2 sticks)

3 tbsp sugar

2 c. flour

1/4 tsp salt

1 tsp almond extract

Frosting

1 1/2 c. conf sugar

2 tbsp cocoa

2 tbsp hot water

1/2 tsp vanilla

Preparation

Sift together dry ingredients. Add b utter and almond. Mix with pie blender until crumbly, form into ball (don’t handle too long). Form little round balls and press on cookie sheet. Bake at 400 for 10-12 minutes. They should be a very light brown.

Sift dry ingredients, add hot water and vanilla. Mix and drop on cookie w/spoon or knife. A small dime size drop on each cookie.
