Ingredients
4 cups blackberries
1 cup sugar
1 cup all purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup whole milk
2 tablespoons melted butter
Preparation
Preheat oven to 375
Put berries in an ungreased 5-6 cup gratin dish or deep dish pie plate and sprinkle with 3/4 cup of sugar.
Sift together the dry ingredients. Add melted butter and milk and wisk until smooth.
Pour batter over berries. Bake 40-45 minutes or until top is golden.
Transfer to a rack and cool for 20 minutes. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream
