Ingredients

1 French baguette

2 large ripe pears

1/3 lb. creamy, ripe bleu cheese

Appx. 20 whole walnuts

Preparation

-Slice the baguette in approximately 20 thin slices. -Toast and cool, set aside. -Slice the pears in approximately 20 thin slices,set aside. -Slice the bleu cheese in approximately 20 thin slices set aside. -Assemble a baguette slice, top with a pear slice, top with a cheese slice, and then a whole walnut. -Place on a cookie sheet. -Broil in oven and watch carefully until the cheese is just melted and the walnut is toasted. -Serve warm.
