Ingredients

1/2 cup butter

2 eggs

2 cups golden brown sugar

1 1/2 cups flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 cup chopped pecans

Preparation

Melt butter. Mix dry ingredients except nuts in a large bowl. Add the eggs and melted butter. Mix until smooth. Add pecans and stir. Smooth into a 9 x 11 Baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Do not overbake. Remove from oven and run a knife around the edges of the pan. When bars are cool, cut into squares.
