Ingredients

1 (16 oz) package blueberries

1/4 cup maple syrup

1/3 cup sugar

1 T cornstarch

4 large eggs

2/3 cup milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 loaf artisan bread

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Butter a 9x13 inch pan.

Pour berries into pan, gently stir the sugar, syrup and cornstach over the berries until blended.

Whisk eggs, milk, and vanilla. Remove crust from bread and slice into 3/4 inch slices. Dip the bread slices in the egg mixture and lay over the berries. Pour remaining egg mixture over the bread.

Bake 35-40 minutes, until bread is toasted.

Spoon berries over toasted bread slices and serve with warmed syrup.
