Ingredients
6 ounces strawberries (about 6 large), stemmed and halved
1/2 cup blueberries (about 3 ounces)
1 1/2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
3 tablespoons sugar
1 cup nonfat plain yogurt
1/4 cup whole milk
1 cup crushed ice
Preparation
Place the strawberries, blueberries, lemon juice, and sugar in a food processor, and puree. Pour puree evenly into two glasses.
Combine the yogurt, milk, and crushed ice in a blender, and blend until frothy. Pour the yogurt mixture over the fruit puree in each glass. Stir the smoothie several times to slightly incorporate the two layers, and serve immediately.
