Ingredients
2 sticks butter
2 cups minus a little of each white and brown sugar
4 eggs
2 cups flour
1.5 tsp baking powder
2 tsp vanilla
12 oz bag chocolate chips
Preparation
Cream butter and sugar; beat in eggs one at a time. Mix dry ingredients, including a touch of salt if using unsalted butter. Gradually add vanilla.
Spread into greased jelly roll pan and sprinkle chips on the top.
Bake at 350 for 15 minutes, then without removing from oven, lower temperature to 325 and continue to bake for 15 more minutes. Let cool before removing from pan.
