Ingredients
1 cup vanilla wafer crumbs
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup finely chopped walnuts
1 tsp. cocoa
2 tsp. light corn syrup
¼ cup your favorite liquor (I use Southern Comfort)
Additional powdered sugar for coating
Preparation
Mix together dry ingredients. Add corn syrup and liquor. Mix well. If mixture seems too dry to hold together, add a few drops more liquor. Form into small balls, roll in powdered sugar. Store tightly covered in refrigerator. Best if made ahead - flavors mix better on standing, but stand back the first time you open the container! Variation: Add a little cinnamon to the coating sugar. Also use brandy instead of Southern Comfort.
