Ingredients

1/2 cup sugar

3 tablespoons butter, melted

1/2 cup dark corn syrup

1/2 cup barley malt

3 eggs beaten

1 1/2 - 2 cups pecan halves

1/8 cup good bourbon

9-inch pie crust unbaked

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375 deg.

In a sauce pan over low heat, heat first 4 ingredients until butter melts. Add bourbon. Pour mixture slowly into beaten eggs and mix until all ingredients are combined. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Add pecans, neatly or not, your choice.

Bake at 375 for 10 minutes. lower heat to 350 and bake an additional 25 minutes until pie is set.
