Ingredients

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1/4 cup butter or margarine

1 tablespoon brandy or orange juice

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/8 teaspoon ground cloves

Nonstick cooking spray

4 peeled bananas, halved crosswise and quartered lengthwise

1/4 cup pecan halves or almonds

Vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt (optional)

1/8 teaspoon ground ginger

Preparation

  1. In a saucepan, combine the brown sugar, butter, brandy, and spices. Heat and stir until combined. Keep warm.

  2. Coat a 2-quart square (8x8x2-inch) baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Add bananas and pecans. Top with the brown sugar mixture.

  3. Bake, uncovered, in a 350 degree F oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until heated through.

Serve warm with ice cream or frozen yogurt, if you like.
